Old Business:
The Secretary reported that the Club did not win a Game commission grant to do the skeet and trap lighting.
The President reported that the silhouette range is complete. Only 22 LR caliber is to be shot on the silhouette range, no centerfire rifles ever. There will be an email going out explaining how the silhouette shoot works. Price will be $10, youth 17 and under shoot free and there will be free ammo to youth.
New Business:
The President reported that he is working with Pam Slusser who is a Main township supervisor and a Penn State instructor to start skeet clubs at local high schools (Bloom, Central Columbia, Southern Columbia and Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech). Pam is getting corporate sponsors and we need 4 or 5 volunteers to be shotgun instructors to assist with this endeavor. There was no objection by the membership to having the Club be the venue for the high school skeet shoots.
The Board was asked if archery targets will be coming back. The answer is “no” due to the need for a separate and expensive rider on our insurance and it would not be financially feasible.
Member Al Ascenzi asked us to consider offering a 25-yard rimfire pistol shoot. The President replied that this would be worth looking into.
Good and Welfare of the Club:
JoJo volunteered to do the August meeting dinner.
Adjournment:
There being no further business to discuss, on a motion to adjourn by everyone, the meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
