September Minutes

Call to Order:

The September 18, 2025 meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.  Twenty-one members were present.  

Approval of Meeting Minutes:

  • The Secretary read the minutes of the August 21, 2025 meeting. On a motion by Jim Cunningham, seconded by John Stortzum, the minutes were approved as read

Treasurer’s Report:

The treasurer’s report for August was presented by the Vice President in the Treasurer’s absence.  On a motion by Jay Gross, seconded by Rod Bardo, the report was approved as read.

President’s Report:

The President announced that Rod Bardo had fixed the berms between the 100- and 200-yard ranges.

Vice President’s Report:

The VP reported that he and Gerry had met with the IBS president and they are being more cooperative.

Committee Reports: 

  • Falling Steel reported 12 shooters
  • Buffalo Rifle 14
  • Cowboy – 4
  • Steel Plate Trials 17
  • Skeet and Trap – 57 rounds
  • Practical Pistol  – 12
  • 100 yard and silhouette – 28 total

Introduction of New Members:
Two new adult members were approved:

Brian Farrell – A1399

Lonnie Farrare = A1400

Old Business: 

The President reported that the lights have been installed on the skeet and trap range and the dawn to dusk light has been converted to LED.

New Business:

The president announced that during the installation of the lights on the skeet and trap range a fault in the electrical supply was found in the conduit between the IBS shed and the rifle range.  The Board is recommending to the membership the expenditure of $3000 to repair that fault and bring the wiring up to code. LED solutions LLC, same company that did the skeet and trap lighting, will do the work. Donna Romig made a motion to approve, JoJo Stortzum seconded. The motion passed.

The secretary presented a request to rent the clubhouse for a birthday party on October 26 to club member Clif Orzolek. Mel Bardo made a motion to approve. Seconded by Rod Bardo.  Motion carried.

The next work day was scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025.  The secretary will send out a notice to the membership.  Sight in Sunday with a picnic/cookout is scheduled for Sunday, November 9, rain date, November 16.

Good and Welfare of the Club:

JoJo volunteered to do the October meeting dinner.

Adjournment:

There being no further business to discuss, on a motion to adjourn by Jim Cunningham, the meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
