April Meeting Minutes

Call to Order:

The April 18, 2024 meeting of the Mainville Sportsmen’s Club began at 7:03 p.m. with a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.  Twenty eight members and guests were present.  

Approval of Meeting Minutes:

Secretary Lingousky read the minutes of the March 21, 2024 meeting.  A motion was made by Ken Hall and seconded by Mike Romig to approve the minutes as read. The motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

Treasurer Felegie presented the treasurer’s report for April. A motion to approve the report as presented was made by Jim Cunningham, seconded by Billy Romig. The motion carried.

President’s Report:

President Jaskiewicz introduced the Club’s newly elected Vice President, Gerry Von Blohn.

Vice President’s Report:

VP Von Blohn reported that nearly 200 people attended the FNRA dinner. There were 37 firearms raffled off. Also, we received a grant from the NRA for both ammo and funds to buy clay birds. The dinner will be held again next year.

Committee Reports:  

  • Steel reported 7 shooters
  • Steel Challenge reported 15 shooters
  • Ken Hall reported that the first CMP match will be in July and will be 3 stages
  • Kitchen committee reported that Jim Cunningham donated all new pots and pans to the kitchen

Jim Cunningham proposed another clean up day to repair storm damage to the range. Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5:30 to dusk will be the date.  An email to the membership will be sent out.

Gerry Von Blohn stated that he would like to start up a bullseye match for 22 long rifle.  He needs at least 10 people to be interested in order to proceed with plans.  Secretary Lingousky will send a mass email asking members who are interested to contact Gerry.

Good and Welfare of the Club:

Jack Roadarmel volunteered to do dinner for the April meeting.

There being no further business to discuss, on a motion to adjourn by Mike Romig, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
