Minutes for the meeting held March

March 16, 2023

Call to Order:

The March 16, 2023 meeting of the Mainville Sportsmen’s Club was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.  Fifty two members and guests were present.  

Approval of Meeting Minutes:

Secretary Lingousky read the minutes of the February 16. 2023 meeting.  A motion was made by Scott Neuhard and seconded by Gary Sieverski to approve the minutes as read. The motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

Treasurer Felegie read the Treasurer’s report for March. A motion to approve the report as presented was made by Gary Sieverski, seconded by Seth Shuman. The motion carried.

President’s Report:

President Jaskiewicz reported that the Main Township fire company had requested a donation for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. Mel Bardo made a motion that the Club donate $400 , Seconded by Seth Shuman. The motion carried..

Committee Reports:  

Steel: 11 shooters. 

Steel Challenge: 11 shooters

Practical Pistol: 7 shooters

Skeet and Trap: $205 turned in for Feb. and March

Target and Grounds Committee: Jim Cunningham reported that targets are still being moved despite signs prohibiting this.

Old Business:  

The floor was opened for additional nominations for President. No new nominations were presented. On a motion by Seth Shuman, seconded by Bill Hunsinger the nominations were closed.

No new nominations were made for Treasurer.  On a motion by Jerry Capa, seconded by Seth Shuman, the nominations for treasurer were closed. Since the

re is only one candidate, the Secretary was directed to cast a single vote for the incumbent treasurer, Mike Felegie, Jr.

Ballots for the office of President were provided, voting ensued, the results were: 25 votes for Dennis Jaskiewicz, 24 votes for Scott Neuhard.

New Business:

Jim Cunningham proposed a new camera for the range since people keep unplugging the existing ones.  Mike Felegie will see what cell phone connected cameras are available and report back.

Spring clean up/work day was announced to be Saturday April 8.  Announcement to be sent out.

Good and Welfare of the Club:

Curt Moorhead was volunteered to do April meeting dinner.

There being no further business to discuss, on a motion to adjourn by Donna Romig, the meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
