Minutes for the Meeting held

May 18, 2023

Call to Order:

The June 15, 2023 meeting of the Mainville Sportsmen’s Club was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.  Twenty eight members and guests were present.  

Approval of Meeting Minutes:

Secretary Lingousky read the minutes of the May 18. 2023 meeting.  A motion was made by Gary Sieverski and seconded by Donna Romig to approve the minutes as read. The motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report:

Treasurer Felegie read the Treasurer’s report for June. A motion to approve the report as presented was made by Jim Cunningham, seconded by Bill Keiser. The motion carried.

President’s Report:

President Jaskiewicz reported that the motor on the gate is burned out and repair parts are on order. No ETA on the repair yet.

Committee Reports:  

Cowboy: 10 shooters

Buffalo : 10 shooters

Falling Steel: 27 shooters for May and June combined

Steel Challenge: 6 shooters

Introduction of New Members:
The following new members were approved:

  A1212 Joshua Wolfe

Old Business:  

The third and final voting on the proposed new by-laws took place.  Several  members who had not voted at previous months’ meeting voted to approve the changes. Zero opposed. The revised by-laws are now official.

New Business:

Scott Neuhard proposed starting a USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) shoot on the second Saturday of every month.  There was general agreement that this would be a good thing for the Club to add as a new event.  Scott will get the appropriate info to Secretary Lingousky to add to the Club website.

Good and Welfare of the Club:

Denny volunteered to do July dinner.

There being no further business to discuss, on a motion to adjourn by Ed Bergen, the meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
